Independence Does Have Some Rewards

I freely admit I'm a "kept woman" when it comes to the bike.  I rarely even air up my own tires. Today as I went to air up my tires for the trip, the valve stem got stuck in my new sealant-filled tire and the tire went flat in the process of trying to remedy this (and the sealant sprayed all over, which added to the fun).  All this is making my way to a big brag that I changed the tire, and rather quickly, by myself. While I'm on the subject my new found independence with the bike, I also had quite a time figuring out how to get my new panniers fitted to the bike.  I guess necessity really is the mother of invention.  Sheila changed her own tire and fit her new panniers on the bike - will wonders never cease?!

P. S.  Paulie - this doesn't mean I want to start mowing the lawn.
